Top New Feature Releases of 2024
This year, we rolled out a number of exciting updates to Label Studio across five major feature releases during the year:
Enhanced ML Backend
Our ML Backend is one of the most powerful pieces of functionality in Label Studio, making it possible to integrate any model. This year, we made some major improvements to the backend, making it possible to integrate with any machine learning model. Discover the details in our Label Studio 1.12.0 Release Blog.
Refreshed Interface
We released a whole new look and feel to Label Studio, making it easier to navigate (and easier on the eyes!) You can learn more about this update in our 1.13 Release Blog.
Expanded Templates for Evaluation Workflows
We introduced several new templates to make it easier than ever to work with generative AI, from fine-tuning LLMs to evaluating models. Here are just a few of the most popular templates:
Brand-New & Improved SDK
We delivered a new version of our SDK - one of our most popular features. This new version included a number of major improvements to make working with our SDK and API considerably easier. Check out the details in our SDK Update Blog.
Advances in Computer Vision
Image labeling remains one of Label Studio’s most popular use cases. In continued support of that, this year we introduced:
- Video Frame Classification to allow users to label stretches of video.
- An updated YOLO integration with support for Ultralytics’ most recent updates.
- Segment Anything 2 Compatibility for seamless integration with this popular tool.
- Paginated multi-image labeling makes it easy to stack multiple images on top of each other with paginated controls for easier labeling.
